WHAT IS YOUR PRESENT STATE OF MIND?
Richter is a renowned German artist, painter, and sculptor. He studied at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts in the mid-20th century under artists and critics, such as Will Grohmann, “the godfather of modernism”. Richter was a pioneer in the New European Painting art movement. Richter is known for his distinct abstract and photorealistic paintings, meshing reality with the “illusion” of paint.
A California native, Bitters is a ceramics sculptor influential in the 1960’s organic modernist movement. His work has become a part of the artistic fabric of California—appearing in public, religious, and educational spaces, as well as private residences and galleries. Bitters champions the incorporation of sculpture into architecture, believing in the tremendous impact that urban aesthetic and public art have on people.
Paul R Evans
Evans is an American artist, sculptor, and designer from Pennsylvania. He is known for his role in the 1970’s American craft Movement, and his best known works have been his metal sculpted furniture. Evans is a furniture designer for American manufacturer Directional Furniture, known for his meticulousness and emphasis on hand-made quality.

She-ra is the main character of the 80’s cartoon Filmation series She-Ra: Princess of Power. As the alter-ego of Princess Adora, she and her twin brother He-Man (Prince Adam) were designed to be archetypal action figures for girls and boys respectively. With her incredible strength and trusty Sword of Protection, She-Ra leads the Great Battle to free her native planet Etheria from the Evil Horde.
Jem is the main character of the Japanese animation television series Jem and the Holograms. The show aired from 1985-89 in America and was a collaboration by Hasbro, Marvel, and Sunbow. Jem is the the lead singer of the rock group Jem and the Holograms and the mysterious alter-ego of Jerrica Benton, who owns “Starlight Music” company. Together Jem and the Holograms go on many adventures involving rival bands The Stingers and The Misfits.

She-ra and Jem, my childhood cartoon heroines!
WHO ARE YOUR REAL-LIFE HEROES?
Women who are not afraid to go for it, take risks and put themselves out there to be either embraced or judged. We still live in a world where it’s harder for a woman to take risks and be successful. Women are still told they can’t be bossy, or too sexy, or single past a certain age etc, etc. My heroes are women who don’t give a fuck.
WHAT IS YOUR MOST TREASURED POSSESSION?
One possession I treasure is the Hermes watch I got for my 30th birthday from an ex-bf. I love it because it’s a classic piece and also because it marks a very tumultuous but momentous and transformative time in my life and because the boyfriend that gave it to me was one of my greatest teachers.

I’m perfectly happy in LA, but I always wanted to buy a sail boat and live on it for a year, sailing up to different surfing destinations around the world while starting an import/export business of custom goods I designed with local artisans I meet along the way. (***note bene: I’m not a very good surfer, but I figure I will be by the end of that year).

Inspired by a questionnaire given to Marcel Proust by his friend Antoinette, Natascha Snellman began “The Confession Album” in December 2012 to feature creative individuals. This series of questions reveals personality by asking about the tastes and aspirations of the taker. Natascha originally photographed friends and acquaintances with an iPhone after they took the Proust questionnaire, and was later joined by photographer and editor Lance Dawes.
