“Foxcatcher” is the true story of eccentric heir John du Pont (Steve Carell) and Olympic-gold winning wrestler, Mark Schultz (Channing Tatum). Du Pont invites Mark to train for the 1998 Seoul Olympics at his palatial estate, Foxcatcher Farm, where Mark and his elder brother (Mark Ruffalo) enter into a co-dependent and psychologically warped game of wills with the millionaire mentor.
Bennett Miller came away with “Best Director” at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival for “Foxcatcher.” Oscar-nominated for his previous biographical films “Moneyball” (2011) and “Capote” (2005), Miller has already proven his finesse for mixing fact and fiction on-screen, and this film shouldn’t deviate.
You can see “Foxcatcher” in select US theaters November 14.

“Found: The Rolling Stones” compiles previously unpublished candids of The Rolling Stones, taken in and around Savannah, GA and Clearwater, FL. While perusing a flea market in Southern California, art collector Lauren White stumbled upon the fresh faces of Mick Jagger, Brian Jones, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman and founder and manager Ian Stewart. The photos were taken by an unknown photographer just prior to The Rolling Stone’s 1965 North American tour, when their fame would snowball.

We all know Stephen Hawking for his extraordinary life – as one of foremost physicists of our time, he is equally renowned for his lifelong triumph over ALS. But “The Theory of Everything” begins much earlier than this. Directed by James Marsh and based on the book by ex-wife Jane Hawking, the film follows a halcyon college romance between Stephen (Eddie Redmayne) and Jane (Felicity Jones) to the onset of his illness and dissolution of their marriage.
Here are some words on the film from Hawking himself, posted on his Facebook page:
It’s quite something to be the subject of a major film. It makes you realize how short life is when they cut out the boring bits. But in all seriousness, I am honored and humbled by the film that was made. Always support those who struggle and always strive to prevail even when you think you cannot.
I thought Eddie Redmayne portrayed me very well in The Theory of Everything Movie. He spent time with ALS sufferers so he could be authentic. At times, I thought he was me.
Seeing the film has given me the opportunity to reflect on my life. Although I’m severely disabled, I have been successful in my scientific work. I travel widely and have been to Antarctica and Easter Island, down in a submarine and up on a zero gravity flight. One day I hope to go into space.
I’ve been privileged to gain some understanding of the way the universe operates through my work. But it would be an empty universe indeed without the people that I love.
“The Theory of Everything” is set to release in select theaters on November 7.

“Today, you write an ‘A’ on your jacket and you think you’re an anarchist. Fashion used to be a weapon for the young people to provoke change. What people need to do now is wipe their makeup off.” Ellinor Olovsdotter, stage name “Elliphant”, has just released her newest EP “One More”. Geisha hair, adidas tracksuits, fringe—“Elli”, as her fans know her, covers a broad range of cool in her music videos. The Stockholm-born, LA-based indie pop artist looks kind of like Léa Seydoux meets a new wave of Fever Ray costuming, and her brand of reggae-dubstep sounds like M.I.A. infused Major Lazer.
“One More” EP is out via TEN.
