“Cool Choices” is the latest record from S, the project of Jenn Ghetto, founding member of the beloved indie group Carissa’s Wierd (members of which went on to form Band of Horses, Sera Cahoone and Grand Archives). Ghetto began writing the record in 2012 amidst a break-up and brought on board metal drummer Zach McNulty, Betsy Olson (bass), and Carrie Murphy (guitar). The album is produced by Chris Walla and features Ghetto’s knack for heart-wrenching lyrics and intricate arrangement.

Album “Black Moon Spell”
Kyle Thomas is King Tuff, releasing his third full-length album “Black Moon Spell”. A Vermont native that has been part of the freak-folk band Feathers, pop wunderkind Happy Birthday, and doom-metal Witch, Thomas is pushing in new directions once again. The result sounds like an amused, anarchist teen making a superb synthesis of rock decades into what reviewers such as NPR have called the winning record of 2014 glam-rock revival.
Available via Sub Pop on September 22.
